The Budapest Institute has published an evaluation of the equal opportunity and integration project SROP 331 (download detailed summary).
The project is aimed at improving access to quality education for children from a disadvantaged background. Commissioned by the Ministry of Education and Culture, the evaluation report aims to assess the first phase of the project and provide feedback for planning the next phase starting in 2010.
The report identified relevance and coherence in the planning and implementation as the main strengths of the project, and pointed out notable weaknesses in its financial management and communication. The overall assessment however was definitely positive.
It is a general popular error to suppose the loudest complainers for the public to be the most anxious for its welfare. (Edmund Burke, 1769)
