We are seeking to hire a junior research assistant - Roma policy fellow

BI and the Romaversitas Foundation are seeking to hire a junior research assistant for a fixed term position.

The junior research assistant will be expected to contribute to research and evaluation projects under the supervision of senior colleagues. The junior colleague will manage specific research tasks independently, and will support the work of senior researchers/project managers as a coordinator both within BI and Romaversitas. We are looking for candidates who actively support the mission of the Budapest Institute and that of Romaversitas. Applications of candidates belonging to the Roma minority will be given priority.

Additional skills are appreciated: a sound understanding and interest in microeconomics, political economy, and/or welfare policies aimed at social inclusion, relevant work experience (especially in international projects), experience in working with statistical software, basic statistics/econometrics, and advanced language skills (in particular, Romanian, Bulgarian, or any other languages spoken in the Visegrad countries).

Working time and salary to be negotiated. The initial offer will be for a fixed term contract which will be reviewed and possibly extended after 12 months.

Please send your CV and a short motivation letter in English (highlighting your skills and experience in the above listed areas) and contact information to two reference persons to Ms Dóra Veress (dora.veress@budapestinstitute.eu) by 30 November 2017.
